Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of all?

In times when clicking ‘selfies’ has become a rage, how many of us ask this question? Clearly, the answer is most of us. Today, there are not only women, but men too who ask this question in some way or other. It has been observed that People today are very conscious about their image in public, specially the youth. How we look, how we sound, how we present ourselves matter much more than how good we actually are. Outer beauty is given much more importance than inner beauty and the increasing number of selfies uploaded on social networking sites is proof of this.
Let’s take a look at some statistics related to selfies. According to “Selfie Info graphic”, which provides facts and figures about selfies, approximately 1 million+ selfies are uploaded every day. More interesting fact reveals, among these, 14% are digitally enhanced and 36% of them admitted altering their selfies. 13% of females retouch their selfie while a whopping 34% of males admit retouching their selfie. Interesting, isn’t it? Well the statistics clearly show that selfie is the hottest trend of the year. So what makes selfie so popular?

Handwriting Analysis to deal with Procrastination

Do you always find yourself delaying a particular work or task till the deadline approaches? Do you always keep your tasks pending for the last minute? Or Do you find excuses to avoid finishing your task on time?
Procrastination is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the "last minute" before the deadline.
Procrastination is not a new or rare thing; rather it is a very practice. I have come across so many people who postpone their work for some or other reason. They will start working only when their deadline starts approaching. Right from students to adults, this particular practice is observed. There are students who don’t start studying until the exam date comes near and when it does, they will be completely immersed in books. Even if it is about homework, they will always keep it for the last minute and then the load piles up. Sounds familiar?
In case of adults, there are so many professionals who like to keep on delaying things or tasks as long as possible. In organizations, there may be atleast one such person in a team who starts working day and night only when the deadline is about to come. Whether the work gets completed on time or not depends on case to case, but one thing is for sure, the quality is surely compromised.

There may be varied reasons for procrastination depending on person to person. However, the basic ideology is that people look to avoid the situations or the negative emotions associated with that task. It’s like being in the comfort zone unless it’s necessary to move out of it. The prima facie is that people may be afraid to face a particular situation and so knowingly or unknowingly, delay the situation as far as possible. Procrastination may result in stress, anxiety, a sense of guilt and crisis, health problems, and severe loss of personal productivity, as well as social disapproval for not meeting responsibilities or commitments. Keeping the things pending till last minute infuses lot of unnecessary stress

How to reduce anger through graphology

ANGER : Anger is just one letter short of DANGER.
“Anger is an acid that can do more harm to vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.” – Mark Twain

Anger is one such emotion which if used in an effective way, can help you to achieve success; but if used in a wrong way, there is nothing more destructive than it. Wikipedia defines anger as, “Anger is an emotional response related to one's psychological interpretation of having been threatened. Often it indicates when one's basic boundaries are violated.” Anger is one such emotion or characteristic which is rarely absent in anyone’s personality. Only difference is the degree of getting angry. Some people get angry very easily while some get angry only when something terribly goes wrong. Although anger is a very natural emotion, people find it difficult to deal with it. Anger not only affects the person on whom the anger is directed, it also affects the person holding it.
We all know the consequences of anger. Anger can destroy anything in few seconds, which has taken a lifetime to build.

The point of concern here is, in spite of knowing that anger results in harmful consequences, people find it difficult to get rid of it. Some people even make it a tagline to give excuses by saying, “you know how I am, I get angry very easily, I don’t do it purposely it just happens.” What they don’t realize is that by saying this they are making it only their weakness. There is an interesting theory about anger.

Caution: Are you your own enemy? Self-deception can prove to be a big hurdle in way of your success.

According to Thomas Gilovich, “94% of university professors think they are better at their jobs than their colleagues.”

“25% of college students believe they are in the top 1% in terms of their ability to get along with others.”
“70% of college students think they are above average in leadership ability. Only 2% think they are below average.”
Michael Novak has rightly said, “Our capacity for self- deceit has no known limits.”
Self-deception is the process or fact of misleading ourselves to accept claims about ourselves as true or valid when they are false or invalid.  Self-deception, in short, is a way we justify false beliefs about ourselves to ourselves. It is like trying to show ourselves a picture which we like to believe it exists.
Let’s take an example here of a boy named Raju. Raju is a laid back and lazy boy. Every day he gets late to reach his college. The reason is he cannot get up on time. Every day he decides to keep an alarm at 6 in morning but every day he puts off his alarm and sleeps until 7. This keeps on repeating every day and each day, he tries to convince himself, no matter what, from tomorrow he will just wake up on time. However, that tomorrow never comes.
Does this sound familiar to you?

Having good argumentative skills is considered as an advantage in lawyer’s profession. But what about the people in general?
How many times do we come across people who are argumentative? Quite a lot of time, isn’t it? In our day to day life, we have to sometimes deal with a person who is very argumentative. It may be your colleague, or your boss, or your friend, or may be some close relative, or at times, just a stranger. These people argue about almost anything and everything. Even a small issue is enough for them to stir up an argument.
While having discussions may be considered as a healthy sign, as it opens to new ideas; having arguments where it is not required can bring out lot of negative consequences. We all know arguments are capable of breaking even the healthiest of relationships. In a pretext to win an argument, people forget tend to forget that they may lose a valuable relationship or a person even if they win the argument.
So, how can we check whether a person is argumentative in nature?
